You guys can stay in the Pelham or Alabaster area they are only 30 min from track and they are good areas.
Sleep in you truck bro, there are showers at Barber and restrooms that stay pretty clean. You got power at the track. Oct it may be a tad cooler just crack your window and sleep. I always sleep in the truck where I go
Ok, I may have 2 options. Option # 1, I live about 45 minutes from the track and people can stay at my house. Option # 2, is that I bring my hauler and I will have room for 1 person. $20 per night per person. LOL
My fairer paddock partner insists on a comfortable place to sleep, in exchange for her tire warmer installation services at the track. Hampton Inn by the airport was about a buck-fifty per night with tax. Yeah.
Room available Two of my crew can't make it this weekend. I have a prepaid room at the Hampton a mile or so from the track. $110 per night OBO. PM call me at 618-792-4898.
I think i mentioned this before but if you go to Orbitz and put in Alabaster, AL (20-30 min from track) there are nice rooms 40 and up. The Pelham, Alabaster and Oak Mountain areas are great. Tennis and Golf course communities. Any questions on quality and safety PM me. You wont be dissapointed though.
For future purposes, if you know you are going to do the track weekend, go ahead and book the hotel room way in advance also. Not only does it ensure you get a room, but sometimes you can get a reservation before the event price hike. Before I got the toy hauler, I would book my hotel room like 6-9 months in advance.
hey guys there are PLENTY of places to stay within 20 (yes, really 20, not "20 at 200 mph") minutes of the track, if camping isn't your thing, and driving from 31/280 on Rex Lake Road to Barber's will make any minutes spent driving irrelevant. Actually, you might spend a couple more minutes riding it just for kicks ;-) I can't embed maps, or I would. just google map the 31/280 area around Colonade, all those hotels, and then Rex Lake Road out to barbers. hope to help a little
It is ridiculous that they do that though. They triple the prices because an event is in town. It is bullshit IMO.
Lots of NASCRAP people booked their rooms last year before they left....in other words, a year in advance, so that isn't going to help much.
