Still a few advanced spots available - other groups are pretty much sold out.

Gates open approx 6:00pm Friday night and stay open til 9:00pm, if you make it in by 9:00pm you can then come 24/7, if you don't make it by 9:00pm gates re-open Sat at 7:00am-9:00pm and Sun 7:00am-5:00pm. Barber is in the Central Time Zone.

There is a $5.00 gate fee for all persons 16 years or older entering a Sportbike Track Time event.
    BRING SOME CASH WITH YOU.

We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Southern rain showers.

You must walk to the Porsche building, pay your gate fee and get your armband before you can get into the paddock.

If you arrive early please park where the gate guard directs you to park. No drinking of beer or alcohol allowed in parking area's and no changing bike oil in parking area's. Please note that Sportbike Track Time is the ONLY organization that Barber allows to "stage" in the museum parking lot... we want to keep it that way!

No glass bottles are allowed in the Barber paddock.

Camping is available and you pay the track for that.

Electric is available in the lower pits against the fence and in the upper pits in both sides and you have to pay the track for that, it's cheaper if you split it with your neighbors.

Tire service will be open Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm to help you out. Then 7am to 7pm Sat and 7am-3pm Sun. We can now remove and replace your wheels for you if you do not want to get greasy. As usual, we will have our awesome prices on all the Michelin tires.

Superbike Suspension will be here to fine tune your suspension.

Sign-up opens 7am both days and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time.

Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am both Saturday and Sunday.

Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am both days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am.

Sorry to say, pets are NOT allowed at Barber.

Showers are available on the second and third levels.

Race gas and street gas is available on second level, credit cards only.

Please keep your area clean and do not leave any race gas cans or tires when you leave.

We must be out of the paddock by 7:00pm Sunday night.

Any questions, please post up here.

Time to ride!!!!!! :wheel: :wheel: :wheel:

Sorry in advance guys, Barber newbie here:noidea:

I notice that the tent camping area is remote from the paddocks, do you guys usually leave your car, trailer, and bike in the paddock area? Or do we pack it up each day and drive to the camping spot? Do you guys know how much camping onsite costs? Can I just camp in the paddock next to my bike?

Is there air down by the race control building?

Could you guys show me relatively where the "Porsche Building" is at?

Do we get free access to the museum? :D

Just trying to plan ahead, thanks in advance!:thumb:

The Porsche Building is the red box next to the "tram stop #1" south of the museum. Park in the museum parking lot, and walk to the Porsche Building to get your wristband.

    Sorry, never camped there.

Most people camp in the paddock on the asphalt with their gear.

    Whole Thread on camping: http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=12060&highlight=Camping+Barber

No free access to the Museum. Not sure what the cost is, but if you get there early enough on Friday, you'll have time to wander through before the gates open for us.

Air is down near our tech area, however you'll have to bribe/beg our tire tech for access to it.....beers usually work :D

    Is it Friday yet?! :wheel:

I have not been to Barber with STT/TPM so keep that in mind, but I can tell you that security is very good. I have left gear under my canopy and gone to stay at an offsite hotel. I don't think someone from outside of the riding group is likely to get in and take something. YMMV

The museum was $17 a person for the day a year and a half ago. It's steep, but it's an amazing place to walk around. I have spent more than 4 hours in the place on 2 occasions. I would go again if I had time to kill.

To get to the Porsche building. When you enter into the facility there is a long (maybe 1 mile) winding road. You come to an intersection with the ring road, where their will likely be someone directing you to the left. The museum is directly in front of you at that intersection. If you go left, the road will veer to the right (the road is actually a loop around the track) and you will see the gate. The Porsche building us on your right, about 75 yards short of the gate.

For air I bring a bicycle pump. People usually tease me in the morning, then by the afternoon they are asking to borrow it. Much more convenient than dragging a tank or compressor around.

Of course, the bike pump only works for topping the tires off by a pound or three. You may have other uses in mind.

Does Barber allow track walks? Is electricity very limited? Would along the fence by pit lane be preferred for electricity (120V, no RV or anything)? I see some white poles on google maps on the second and third levels, is that all of it? Hopefully I will get there early enough Friday night before it fills up and be able to talk to some people.

I also have a compressor if someone needs air.
